Luke 9 – Why Did Jesus Have to Die? (Week 5)

Today we turn to Luke 9 where we hear Jesus ask His disciples a question of identity. The specific question He asked was, “Who do people say I am?” Peter answered for the group by saying, “The Messiah of God.” What follows is a dramatic turning point in which Jesus begins to demonstrate, through words and actions, what this means and why it matters to them, and us too.
